Wild Animal Initiative, an organization that provides researchers with support to study wild animal welfare, has awarded me and my colleague Parker Forman a seed grant to support our innovative project to study post-release psychological support for elephant seal (Mirounga angustirostris) weanlings! NWRA Research Grant

I am honored to receive the National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association Research Grant that will provide funding for my dissertation research on improving welfare, cognition, and foraging development of seals in wildlife rehabilitation!

Advanced to Candidacy!

January 10. 2020.

One of the major milestones of my PhD has been accomplished; I passed my Qualifying Exam and am now considered a doctoral candidate! A huge thank you to my advisor, Dr. Jason Watters, my QE committee, and my support system of friends and family that helped me tackle this milestone. Now onto data collection!
